Former Pitt Head Coach Jamie Dixon has left the program and is headed to coach at TCU, his alma mater. Dixon played at TCU in the 1980's. TCU has been a struggling basketball program for a very long time and is hoping Dixon can turn things around. TCU is 8-64 in Big 12 play ever since moving into the conference. Dixon, on the other hand, has been very successful, leading Pitt to a 328-123 record, a winning percentage just over 72%. Dixon was under contract with Pitt until 2023, but has decided to rebuild TCU. TCU currently has one 2016 recruit in 3-star SF Josh Parrish. Jamie Dixon should be able to attract recruits better than Trent Johnson, the former TCU coach. TCU finished 12-21 this year, and should be closer to .500 next year. A few years from now, TCU could be a big contender in the Big 12. It will be difficult for Dixon to rebuild the mess Johnson left at TCU, but Dixon is the right man for the job.
